It’s been a strange week on the markets – illiquid and spiky.
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has slowed following Friday’s flare-up (but not stopped).
Prices across the board today look soft and liquid for the first time in many weeks.
Israel’s unwillingness to curtail its invasion of Lebanon represents the biggest risk to peace across the Middle East.
Markets have drifted sideways today, and finished little changed on the week.
The Strait remains closed (in the main) and world economies continue to look on with heightening anxiety.
Despite the relentless volatility, prices are on track to end the week marginally down.
